As head of GE Capital Real Estate, Mark overseas our global debt and equity platforms. He also leads GE Capital's Restructuring Operations unit, a diverse group of solid but non-strategic businesses in GE Capital's portfolio focused on improving returns, increasing productivity and optimizing value.
Mark began his career at GE in 1980 and was named a company officer in 1996 and GE senior vice president in 2005. Prior to his current role, Mark held a series of leadership roles at GE Capital's Retail Finance unit from 2002 to 2011, most recently as president and chief executive officer.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University and a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Alec is president of GE Capital Real Estate’s North America division. He is responsible for commercial real estate lending and investing throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Prior to his current role, he was managing director of GE Capital Real Estate United Kingdom. He was named a corporate officer in 2007.
Prior to joining GE’s Corporate Business Development division in 1991, Alec worked for Bain and Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Trinity College and received a Master in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Lennart Sten is President of GE Capital Real Estate’s Europe division. He leads Real Estate’s activities across all European markets
Lennart joined GE Capital 13 years ago. Prior to becoming president of the Europe division, he was Northern Europe business leader from 2005 to 2011.
For 10 months, in 2004, Leannart served as CEO of Fabege AB in Stockholm. Earlier, he held a series of leadership roles at GE Capital units in Sweden from 1997 to 2004.
Prior to GE, he had a distinguished legal career in several firms in Sweden, as a lawyer and member of the Swedish Bar. He also served in the Swedish Navy.
He is a fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
He earned university degrees in Naval Science and Tactics at Kungliga Sjokrigsskolan, in Law at Stockholm University and an advanced degree in Naval science and tactics at Militarhogskolan, all in Sweden.
François Trausch is CEO of the Asia Pacific platform for GE Capital Real Estate, which has debt and equity activities across the region. He also serves as President & CEO for GE Capital Real Estate Japan.
François held earlier GE leadership roles in Western Europe and France, and had previous assignments in Risk, Investments, and Asset Management.
Prior to joining GE in 1996, François worked for Goldman Sachs in London and Tishman Speyer Properties in New York and Berlin. He earned a business degree from ESCP in Paris and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
